Kate Quigley was enjoying the limelight for dating high-profile country singer Darius Rucker. Well, Kate Quigley is currently in news headlines for drug overdose controversy. Kate Quigley is hospitalized for drug overdose and is in critical condition, as per TMZ reported on September 5, 2021.
Kate Quigley, along with her fellow comedian 43 years old Fuquan Johnson and previously two other unnamed friends, were partying in the next-door apartment in Venice neighborhood, Los Angels.
As per TMZ update, the two unknown friends of Kate Quigley are believed to be 48 years old Enrico Colangeli (Rico Angeli) and 33 years old Natalia Williamson. Kate Quigley, Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, and Natalie Williamson are suspected of digesting cocaine laced up with fentanyl at the next-door party.
When cops arrived on the scene, Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, and Natalie Williamson were found dead on the spot. At the same time, Kate Quigley was in critical condition and admitted to hospitalized.
According to the latest updates, Kate Quigley is getting better, as per the post share by her fellow comedian Brian Redban. Though, Kate Quigley is still hospitalized and under bed rest. When singer Darius Rucker is asked about Kate Quigley, he denies dating Kate’s rumor and refuses to comment further.
Ownership of the apartment where the incident took place is still under investigation. The apartment is believed to be a duplex with the apartment where Kate Quigley resident. When cops arrived on the scene, a little after midnight, all four victims were lying unconscious and unresponsive.
While Fuquan Johnson, Enrico Colangeli, and Natalie Williamson were already dead, Kate Quigley was in critical condition. Fuquan Johnson was a well-recognized name in LA comedy. Having said that, Kate Quigley is recovery well and is in contact with her friends. Kate Quigley and her team are still not in contact with the media.
Ingestion of cocaine laced with fentanyl is suspected to be the cause of the tragic event, while the culprit of drug distributor still needs to be investigated. The LAPD‘s homicide unit was informed about the case; however, the LAPD’s direct involvement is still uncleared. While, three dead bodies will go through autopsies, which are in possession of the L.A. Coroner’s Office.
Also, the further identities of Enrico Colangeli and Natalie Williamson is under investigation.
The real culprit of the coke distributor is still under question. It is still unclear who originally supplied coke and in what circumstances it is believed to be passed around or used by the four victims. Because of this, it is still unclear if there are any charges.
However, it could still create trouble and possibly mean Uncle Sam gets involved, a la Mac Miller. Whose death stir federal charges after an investigation.
Many actors and big names have shown their condolences through Twitter. Namely, writer and producer Luke Barnett twitted.

Similarly, comedian Nick Alexander and actor Page Kennedy have shown their condolences on comedian Fuquan Johnson’s demise.
