Former cop of the Gun Trace Task Force (GTTF), Wayne Jenkins, joined the Baltimore Police department in 2003. Three years prior to that, he was a Marine who was stationed in North Carolina.
He grew up in Middle River, Maryland, and went to Eastern Technical High School for his studies.
He was famous in the police department for his aggressiveness in solving cases and upper-handling suspects. His aggressive nature had both positive and negative impacts on his career. He saved several injured colleagues during the riot after the death of Freddie Gray in 2015. This action of his won him a bronze star. On the other hand, he faced suing more than four times between 2006 and 2009.

However, after several months of internal surveillance, Wayne and his fellow mates had been found robbing citizens, fabricating overtime hours, stealing drugs, and reselling illegal firearms.
In 2017, Wayne Jenkins had charges of various crimes like two counts of racketeering conspiracy, racketeering, aiding and abetting racketeering.
He even had charges like two counts of robbery and aiding and abetting, two counts of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and many more.
However, he pled guilty to one count of racketeering, two counts of robbery, and one count of destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in a federal investigation. Furthermore, he pled guilty to four counts of deprivation of rights under color of law. FBI arrested him in 2017.
