Samira Wiley and wife Lauren Morelli attended the 2021 Emmy Awards red carpet together. The couple wore complimentary black and white dress at The Event Deck at L.A. Live in Los Angeles. The 2021 Emmy Awards red carpet was held on Sunday, 19 September 2021.
Lauren Morelli wore a figure-flattering black gown with polka dots and a single ruffled sleeve that draped over one shoulder for the event. Her short blonde hair was styled in a side part and slicked back behind her ears as it fell into a very subtle flip at the ends. And she opted for minimum accessories as she only added a pair of drop earrings with a gemstone. Her face was complemented with soft eyeshadow, blush, and a pink lip to complete the look.
Whereas Samira Wiley wore a tailored black pantsuit. The pantsuit had tiny three-dimensional silver lettering detail throughout. With a buttoned suit jacket and underneath, she wore a white collared shirt and black tie.
Samira Wiley’s hair was styled in an asymmetrical curly crop that fell over one side of her face. Her look was accessorized with diamond-encrusted silver hoop earrings. And she wore two rings between two hands.
Samira Wiley wore full makeup with shimmering silver eyeshadow that extended into the inner corners of her eyes and heavy liner and lashes to complement the look. And her cheeks were glowing with a rosy blush. The makeup was completed with her brown-lined lips that accentuated her full pout. To show off her pewter pedicure, she wore open-toe strappy black heels.
Samira Wiley was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. For her work in ‘The Handmaid’s Tale.’ This is not the first time for the actress, as she was previously nominated for the category in 2017 and 2020. And won the award for the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series in 2018.
