Her honors include grants and fellowships from different organizations like Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Jentel Foundation, The Island School, The Lucas Artist Residency Program, and many more.

As of her teaching career, Hyde is the Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Oberlin College & Conservatory. Prior to that, she taught at the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, the University of Houston, the National University of Singapore, and Arizona State University.
