Moreover, Court has convicted Alex of a murder attempt on a couple in Henderson, Nevada. He is a suspect in various other crimes. Firstly, he is suspected of breaking into a home and beating a sleeping couple with a hammer, where the couple had head injuries but survived.

Secondly, a man raped and viciously beat a flight attendant in her garage, leaving her to die.

Currently, Alex Ewing is in Colorado, where he was moved in early 2020, to face charges in two cases; the Patricia Smith murder case and the Bennet family murder case. He was moved after his DNA matched with the DNA from the Smith and Bennett crime scenes in 2018.

At the time, Alex faces life behind bars with the possibility of parole after 20 years for the murder of Patricia. In addition, the judge in the Bennett family murder case sentenced Ewing to three consecutive life terms, all but guaranteeing he would die behind bars.

Prior to that, he was serving his 110 years sentence in Nevada for a 1984 ax-handle attack on a couple in Henderson.
